Carrots contain a small but significant amount of proteins of 1.03% approximately half of that potato. They are good source of B group vitamins, as well as vitamin C and E. All minerals and trace elements are present, including iron 0.5mg/100g.
What makes carrot good for the eye.
Carrots contain carotenoids. A substance among the most notable of which is beta-caratene, which the body transforms into vitamin A. they are essential for the proper functioning of the retina, particularly for night vision. They help maintain the skin and mucosa in good condition.
Contains Fibre. Vegetable fibre carrots contain about 3%, most of which is in the form of pectin. This helps regulate the transit of stool and soothes the intestinal mucosa.
Essential oils. This is active against intestinal parasites. Is useful for corrections of the retina disease. General eye care and other skin diseases, gastritis, excess of gastric acid, colitis and prevention of cancer.
How to use carrot.
Carrots can be eaten raw. Prepared in salads, whole or gratted and dressed with lemon juice. To use it as juice you need one-half glass a day. Cut raw carrots into pieces, add apple juice to it to give it a unique taste. Blend together, sieve to squeeze the juice out of it. Enjoy your carrot juice.
